Mr. Toshihiko Aikawa obtained a B.S. and a M.S. in Industrial Chemistry from Kyoto University in 1981 and 1983, respectively. As a research engineer, He investigated ceramics for automobile parts, tribology, automobile transmissions and so on at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. until 1997. During this period he obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States (1992). He passed the Japanese Patent Attorney Bar Examination in 1997 and joined Jones & Askew, LLP (now Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP) in 1998. He came back to Japan to join American International Group Kabushiki Kaisha as Intellectual Property Officer in 2002. After leaving Shobayashi International Patent Office he joined in 2003, he became one of the partners at Orion International Patent Office in 2005. His specialty is mechanical, software, tribology, material science and chemistry.
