What You Should Know About the US Patent Law Reform Bill
@--Preparing Patent Applications and Exploiting Patents Under the US Patent Law Reform Bill--
The following two aspects of the Reform Bill ( H.R.2795 ) was explained in view of a practitioner.
(1) Those that affect preparation, filing and prosecution of applications before the USPTO; and
(2) Those that affect exploitation and enforcement of issued patents.

Before discussing the bill itself, the US legislative system was briefly reviewed.
(i) How a bill is considered and modified in Congress, and ultimately becomes law.
Then, update the bill with recent changes.
(ii) Any recent changes in the Reform Bill.
Then, the following is explained.
(iii) Aspects of the Bill most relevant to the preparation, filing and prosecution of applications before the USPTO.
(iv) Aspects of the Bill most relevant to the exploitation and enforcement of issued patents.
At the entrance, a brief summary of the bill and question sheet was handed out.
The question sheets were collected and answered in a view of one practitioner.
